Equipment Manufacturing

Manufacture and design of process equipment under International standards

Full services in
Equipment manufacturing

The manufacture of industrial equipment in metal alloys is traditionally known as boilermaking, being one of the strengths of Tomsa Destil. With special emphasis on the manufacture of equipment that form the technological heart of the process. In Tomsa we manufacture equipment such as Alembic Stills, Distillation Columns, Washing Columns, Molecular Sieves, Ebullitors, Evaporators and Condensers, Reactors, Fermenters, Tanks, as well as other minor equipment such as Decanters, Tanks and Process Bottles, among others.

Tomsa Destil has its own workshops with wide capacity to manufacture process equipment in materials such as stainless steel, carbon steel, special alloys, aluminum, copper and brass, among others. It also uses welding methods approved by ASME, for manual and semi-automatic welding with TIG GMAW, GTAW

Tomsa Destil, has the capacity to design and manufacture equipment in compliance with European and international manufacturing standards, as well as following recognized standards such as ASME VIII or API 650, and European directives such as the “Pressure European Directive” for pressure vessels.

EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURING

Process description

Design Phase

The specifications of the equipment to be manufactured are previously defined in the design stage with the basic and detail engineering. During these processes, deliverables such as construction drawings, manufacturing materials, Lay Outs, equipment and piping insulation drawings, among others, are established.

Manufacturing stage

At this stage, the equipment is already mechanically defined in terms of its configuration, morphology and construction details in order to be manufactured. Likewise, the manufacturing codes and standards must be defined, together with the quality control plan. All equipment manufactured in Tomsa Destil are made under international standards such as ASME, API, ADE-MERKDLATT, European Directive.

Third party manufacturing

The manufacturing of equipment in Tomsa Destil can be developed based on the design of the equipment supplied internally or by the customer or third parties. In other words, Tomsa Destil manufactures its own equipment, as well as equipment designed by third parties, under different standards and/or specifications.
